Madhuri Dixit and Hollywood actress Goldie Hawn will be coming together in an English version of Astitva. On the drawing board, that´s what director Mahesh Manjrekar would like to do in his forthcoming tentatively titled It Was Raining That Day which will be set rolling in 2002.

The English version of the Hindi-Marathi film that starred Tabu will feature Madhuri Dixit as the Protagonist and for the role of the heroine´s progressive friend, Manjrekar wants to rope in none other than Goldie Hawn in a casting coup of sorts! Manjrekar, who has his roots in theatre is also getting ready to act in Los Angeles with costars Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt in Sanjay Gupta´s Kaante. Amongst his other films are Ehsaas, featuring Sunil Shetty as a single father.
